Shark Bites Piercing

Shark bites are popular lip piercings with a specific placement: they consist of a pair of Spider bites piercings – two close piercings done on both sides of the lower lip. There are four individual piercings in total that make Shark bites. Shark bites are among the most popular of all so-called “bites piercings”. Bites piercings are special lip piercings that are done in pairs or groups to create special placements. All individual piercings that make up a bites piercing are regular lip piercings but they have a specific placement. When done together, the resulting pair or a group makes a specific bites piercing. Typical jewelry for all individual lip piercings are labret studs or, in rarer cases, Captive Bead Rings.

In the case of Shark bites, this piercing is a group piercing that consists of two other bites piercings, namely, two Spider bites piercings. Spider bites consist of two individual piercings, each done on one side of the lower lip. To make a Shark bites, one needs to have two pairs of Spider bites, one on the each side of the lower lip. As such, these four individual piercings create a specific pattern that makes a very attractive effect. It is therefore not surprising that Shark bites are among the most effective bites piercings.
