The Difference between Rings and Circular Barbells
Circular barbells are round in shape so they resemble rings in many ways. This is why it is important to understand the difference between body jewelry rings and circular barbells. Circular barbells have a round body but they don’t make a full circle. Instead, they are open on ends so they resemble horseshoes. Each end has one bead or a gem attached to the body of the barbell. Body jewelry rings, on the other hand, make a full circle. Some of them have a little gap at the ends where a bead is inserted to hold the ring in place. Other than that, rings make a full circle while circular barbells only make about ¾ of the circle.
When to Use Circular Barbells?
Circular barbells are great jewelry pieces for many different piercings. You may use them for almost all of the piercings that can use rings. Examples include ear piercings, nipple piercings, lip piercings, nose piercings and numerous genital piercings.
