Frenum Ladder

Frenum LadderFrenum Ladder is a male genital piercing consisting of multiple frenum piercings along the penis shaft. It is not uncommon for men to have their whole underside of the penis covered in piercings.

As such, Frenum Ladder is not a separate piercing type, but many piercings made at a specific location. While each of the individual frenum piercings is a piercing for itself, typically with its own jewelry, all of them are considered a part of the Frenum Ladder they belong to.

Frenum Ladder is also known as Jacob’s Ladder, so you may find information about this piercing under this name.

Building a Frenum Ladder

Frenum Ladder consists of individual frenum piercings parallel to each other. Typically, frenum piercings go all the way down the shaft of the penis on the underside. Since these are basically multiple frenum piercings the procedure is the same as for any individual frenum piercing.

Typically, the highest possible placement for a frenum piercing is at the point where the penis head meets shaft. The lowest possible placement is on the bottom of the shaft (lorum piercing). These are typical placements for frenum piercings and those piercings, when positioned parallel to each other, make a Frenum Ladder.

That being said, it is possible to have piercings located on other points on the shaft, in which case the ladder may have a different shape or orientation. These placements are, however, rarer than a typical Frenum Ladder.

It is possible to build a Frenum Ladder one by one (by performing frenum piercings individually) or by doing multiple frenum piercings at once. It is uncomfortable to get so many piercings at once, so men are advised to build their Frenum Ladder over a time. Since frenum piercings are relatively easy to perform and very quick to heal, it doesn’t take so much time to build a Frenum Ladder.

However, you need to be careful and gentle with your multiple piercings. Performing adequate aftercare is a must. You also need to make sure not to hurt your new piercings on clothes or during sexual activities.

Typical jewelry for Frenum Ladder is the same as individual frenum piercings: straight barbells, circular barbells and Captive Bead Rings. For a Frenum Ladder, however, it’s best if all individual piercings in the row have the same type of jewelry.

Additional Info and Tips

Frenum piercings are typically quick to heal. They heal in about 2 to 6 weeks. However, it is important to take a good care of them to prevent problems such as infection, migration and rejection.

That being said, rejection is relatively rare for frenum piercings, but they do have a significant risk for migrating. You need to be aware of this is you wish to build a Frenum Ladder since migrated piercings may disturb the ladder or affect other piercings in the ladder.

Many men choose to expand their Frenum Ladder even further to include lorum piercings (at the base of the penis, where it meets scrotum) and hafada piercings (on the scrotum). This way, the ladder goes all the way from the top of the penis down to the bottom of the scrotum.

Some men don’t stop there and include guiche piercings (on the perineum). For these people, the ladder goes from the top of the penis all the way down to the anus (or near anus).

Keep in mind that some of the frenum piercings may be surface piercings (depending on the placement). This can affect their longevity. That is another thing to keep in mind if you wish to build a Frenum Ladder.

Frenum piercings tend to close quickly when jewelry is removed. This is something to keep in mind if you wish to have a Frenum Ladder.
