How Long Does it Take to Gauge Up a Prince Albert Piercing?

Gauge Up a Prince Albert PiercingThose who want to stretch their PA piercing often wonder how fast they can do it. If you want to gauge up a Prince Albert piercing you need to understand that this is a process that requires patience. While PA piercings tend to be easy to stretch it doesn’t mean that it can happen overnight. Also, it doesn’t matter that all people can achieve the same results. This is why it is important to go slowly and to be patient if you want to have good results with gauging up your PA piercing.

How Quickly to Gauge Up a Prince Albert Piercing?

If you are wondering how quickly to gauge up a Prince Albert piercing it is important to remember that there is no universal answer that would work for all people. This is because we are all different and our piercings may behave differently.

In other words: it all depends on various factors, such as your anatomy, the starting gauge and the PA jewelry you have. These are important things that will affect your piercing and its stretching in numerous ways.

Generally speaking, it is important not to rush. Many people want to have their PA piercing stretched so badly that they jump into it before they are ready. As a general rule, you should not attempt any stretching (gauging up) of your PA piercing before it is fully healed.

When does this happen? It can take a few months for your Prince Albert piercing to heal. Therefore, it is not good to try any stretching earlier than 6 to 8 weeks after getting your piercing. It is actually preferable to wait a bit longer. It is important that your piercing is healthy and healed before you try any stretching.

After this, it is vital to maintain proper stretching schedule. It is impossible to gauge up a Prince Albert piercing in a week or even in a month. A lot will depend on your goal size (gauge) but keep in mind that you must let your body recover after each stretching. It means waiting weeks or even months after stretching to a new size!

Depending on your goal gauge, this stretching routine can take many months or even a year or more! This is why it is important to be patient and to listen to your body. It is vital to always pause after stretching to a new size and to allow your body to rest. This is the only way to stretch safely and without issues.

Gauging Up with Heavy Jewelry

Some people wonder if it’s possible to gauge up a Prince Albert piercing simply by wearing heavy jewelry. After all, PA piercings are so easy to stretch that even jewelry can cause some stretching even when it’s unwanted. Is this a good method to gauge up your Prince Albert piercing?

Generally speaking, heavy jewelry can help stretching a PA hole. It is true that skin in this area is very flexible and stretchable, which makes the job easier. However, it is not the best idea to use heavy jewelry to gauge up a Prince Albert piercing.

The reason is simple: while it may help with stretching, it may also cause trouble. Stretching with jewelry is unreliable and can lead to misplacement of the piercing. This can lead to numerous problems, such as migration, rejection and other issues. This is why it is not the best advice to stretch using jewelry. However, your PA jewelry can help making it easier to stretch your Prince Albert piercing so this is something you should keep in mind.

  1. I got my prince albert may 24th of this year. I was pierced with an 8 guage needle and sent home with a bent barbell. I have since stretched to a 2 guage with a 1″ captive bead ring. You can stretch this piercing really fast but Im sure not everyone can do it that fast.
