Hi Russ, I was out of town for the holidays but when I returned I was so happy to find my jewelry waiting for me in the mailbox. These are 316LVM Surgical Steel just as all of our Surgical Steel body piercing pieces are. A captive bead ring or a bar closure ring allows easy insertion and removal of the surgical steel body piercing piece simply by removing the captive bead. Steel captive bead rings can be used for any type of body piercing.
