Cherry Bomb

Cherry Bombs are very similar to a Screwball Ring in that the ball is threaded onto the ring, except that Cherry Bombs usually have a Large Ball with a very small diameter ring. They are all custom made and on our version we allow you to choose the ball size that you would like. There is a slight gap between the ball and the other end of the ring, which is rounded and highly polished.

The recommended ball size depends on several factors. The Weight that you want, the Gauge of the ring, and the Diameter of the ring.

However as a rule of thumb;
8 gauge – should use a ball – 3/8″ to 3/4″
6 gauge – should use a ball – 1/2″ to 3/4″
4 gauge – should use a ball – 1/2″ to 3/4″
2 gauge – should use a ball – 5/8″ to 3/4″
0 gauge – should use a ball – 5/8″ to 3/4″
00 gauge – should use a ball – 5/8″ to 3/4″
7/16″ gauge – should use a ball – 3/4

While most piercers don’t use it and advise customers to get a piercing without any numbing, most piercees would be much more comfortable if there was anesthesia around.

So how important is anesthesia? Do we really need to numb an area before piercing? Most of the piercers, especially those who are very strict about their profession (and should probably be the ones to go to) will refuse to work with you when you are under the influence of anesthesia. So, this poses a problem for all of us who bank on numbing sprays/shots to reduce/eliminate the pain but sadly, this is the deal. Continue reading
